About Team 4926

GalacTech Team 4926 is the Columbus Robotics FRC team. 

High school students in grades 9-12 with an interest in STEM programs are encouraged to join our team.

FIRST introduced the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) in 1992. Each year FRC unveils a new challenge at Kickoff in January. High school aged students work with professional Mentors to solve the engineering design problem in just six weeks, then work with other teams in alliances to play the game at competition events where they are judged on design, innovation, culture changing behavior and performance. The program is a life-changing, career-molding experience and it’s a lot of fun.

FIRST Robotics Competition

New Season Challenge Coming Soon

BIOCORE™, presented by Haas, is the new challenge releasing January 9, 2027. FIRST Robotics Competition teams will use engineering skills and delve into the heart of what sustains life on Earth. BIOCORE is part of the FIRST® CANOPY™ season. 

Columbus Robotics strives to provide members with the opportunity to become part of an international event and make many new friends around the world. Participation with the team will provide opportunities to Learn and develop marketable skills such as mechanical, electrical, and software technologies as well as program planning, practical problem solving, learn and practice teamwork skills that will be beneficial in many aspects of life, develop an understanding of how functions in a company work together to accomplish a mission, be eligible for numerous scholarships, have amazing opportunities to network with experienced mentors, judges, industry sponsors, and other members on the team and around the world.

High School students, regardless of affiliation - including home-schoolers, are encouraged to apply.

New Shop Location

We are pleased to announce that we have moved!

Our new shop is much larger.  We can now accommodate full-sized fields for both the FTC and FRC teams, along with larger - and separate - shop, assembly, and business team areas.

We look forward to seeing out team students, mentors, and visitors on Monday evenings at our new shop location at 1240 12th Street in Columbus.
