The FIRST® Robotics Competition (FRC) program is for high school students, regardless of school affiliation. We have an interest form than can be filled out at any time.
Columbus Robotics strives to provide members with the opportunity to become part of an international event and make many new friends around the world. Participation with the team will provide opportunities to Learn and develop marketable skills such as mechanical, electrical, and software technologies as well as program planning, practical problem solving, learn and practice teamwork skills that will be beneficial in many aspects of life, develop an understanding of how functions in a company work together to accomplish a mission, be eligible for numerous scholarships, have amazing opportunities to network with experienced mentors, judges, industry sponsors, and other members on the team and around the world.
The FIRST® Robotics Competition season begins with a kickoff event in January, where the new game is revealed, and it runs through various local qualifiers, regional championships, and culminates in the FIRST Championship.
High School students, regardless of affiliation - including home-schoolers, are encouraged to apply.
