Columbus Robotics is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to growing FIRST robotics programs in Columbus Indiana. Founded by Sam Geckler in 2014 as the Columbus, Indiana based teams affiliated with Indiana FIRST.

Our mission is to guide students to excel in STEM careers, while having the hardest fun they will every have.

  • The FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) program is for middle school students from grades 7 or higher.  There is an application process to join those teams, as there is limited availability for team members.  The FIRST Tech Challenge season typically begins with a kickoff event in September, where the new game is revealed, and it runs through various local qualifiers, regional championships, and culminates in the FIRST Championship.

  • The FIRST® Robotics Competition (FRC) program is for high school students, regardless of school affiliation.  We have an interest form that can be filled out at any time.
